“The time will come when diligent research over long periods will bring to light things which now lie hidden. A single lifetime, even though entirely devoted to the sky, would not be enough for the investigation of so vast a subject... And so this knowledge will be unfolded only through long successive ages. There will come a time when our descendants will be amazed that we did not know things that are so plain to them... Many discoveries are reserved for ages still to come, when memory of us will have been effaced.” - Seneca

From Finance professionals to technology fellows, everyone in our community is involved in creating new knowledge.

We also accept research fellow from different fields of technology, finance, management, economics, basic sciences and humanities. Interested fellows can connect with us here.

Centre of Blockchain Technology
Blockchain has been around for more than a decade. There have been many promising applications of it in the real world. However the actual potential of the technology has not yet been revealed. We focus on basic and applied research on how to realize the actual potential of blockchain.
    Centre for Token Economy
Token Economy has seen highly effective use cases in history of medical science and behaviour correction. We use these learnings with our research in Finance to design technology frameworks and support other research centres.

   Centre for Blockchain in Governance
A systemic and inclusive approach to blokchain technology can help ensure that everyone - from the most marginalized members of society to the most powerful - benefits from its transformative potential. However ensuring equity, interoperability, transparency and trust in the governance of distributed ledger technology is required to reach its full potential. We focus on basic and applied research on various non-cooperative practices in the businesses and society to design governance practices so that benefits of blockchain can be relaised to full potential.
    Centre for Augmented Finance
The future of finance is going to be completely different from the traditional finance. Robo advisors, distributed ledgers, real time visibility and digital currencies would contribute to shape the future of finance. Finance shall augment the business and strategic decisions more than ever and be perceived as a profit centre rather than cost centre. We focus on basic research on how can finance augment business and strategic decisions. We also focus on applied research on designing and building an ecosystem of Augmented Finance.

    Centre for Business Process Design
A business process is a sequence of activities executed by both human and (or) machines to achieve a concrete goal. Business process design (BPD) is the activity of designing these sequence of activities by way of process discovery, assigning executors, implementing, testing, etc. Effective business processes can be designed when done using various frameworks. We focus on basic and applied research on designing frameworks in the light of risks, controls and business evolutions to ensure effective design of business processes.
    Centre of SME Technolgies
MSMEs are the backbone of socio-economic development in India and growth engine for the Indian economy. They contribute around 38% to the GDP and provide 110 million jobs. The perception towards the existing digital tools used by MSMEs is mostly to record, summarise and comply. We focus on basic and applied research on on oe to create solutions that augment the day to day activities of MSMEs and result in growth of their business.
    Centre of Value Chain Research
An ideal living ecosystem is a self developed living home of various creatures. Similar is the business ecosystem. An ideal value chain is  made up of all different characteristics, including specialists, coopetitors, cross feeders, system developers, infomediaries, system service providers, sector shapers, aggregators, open platforms, intermediaries, sectors, clusters, geographic hubs, adaptors, communities. We focus on basic and applied research for designing business ecosystem where various value chains in the form of clusters flourishes.
    Centre for Workflow Design
Workflow is a sequence of tasks that processes a set of data. Workflows occur across every kind of business and industry. Anytime data is passed between humans and/or systems, a workflow is created. For benefits to be derived from workflows it is important that both the design and implementation team work in sync. We research on creating a business canvas where workflows can be created, implemented and tested in collaboration by multiple teams.
Centre for Decentralized Finance
Decentralized Finance (DeFi) has been latest evolution in the blockchain ecosystem. DeFi promises an entire new financial services ecosystem. Till date it has been able to keep up with its promise and the industry has climbed above USD 20 Billion. We focus on ideating and designing new financial products for the defi ecosystem. Also we focus on basic and applied research on creating an additional trust layer for the DeFi ecosystem which can result in accelerated adoption of DeFi.
  Centre for Blockchain in Enterprise
Blockchain creates synergies among multiple organizations, which enables them to create entirely new, higher value business models. Decision makers in business are increasingly looking to blockchain technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and reduce risks. We focus on basic and applied research on leveraging blockchain in interorganizational interactions, multi-party trades and other areas.

    Centre for Future of Audit
Audit acts as the trust layer between two or more untrusted parties in the business ecosystem. Be it financial audit, regulatory audits, operational audits or any other management audit, it provides trust as a service. in the recent years there has been a lot of evolution in businesses and business models, so the trust layer also needs an upgrade. We focus on basic on how audit can provide enhanced trust in this digital age. We also focus on applied research on how can real time and continuous audit protocols / solutions be designed for digital ecosystem.

    Centre for Process Centric
    Technologies

Process centric approach involves managing processes as a system. We research on what kind of management, communication and technologies are required to design, create and operate process centric organizations.
    Centre for Future of Work
The world of work is changing. It is being impacted by the changing workplace, the workforce and the nature of work itself. While some jobs will be lost, and many others created, almost all will change.  The objective of the COE is to create local reskilling and redeployment ecosystems and to close skill gaps. We also focus on applied research for creating "Next Best Action" based solutions.
      Centre for Embedded Finance
Business is a network of networks, existing both within and outside a business entity. The better the connectedness, information flow and communication between the networks, the better is the business performance. Thus performance of a business entity is directly related to the state of its networks. We focus on basic and applied research on embedding financial services viz., payment, lending, insurance, legal etc., in the business networks so that they can be made available at the exact moment of need, making it a “just in time offering”.

    Centre of Computable Business Language
We develop a conceptual framework for computable business language  that unifies the many areas of relevant research and development in this space.
   Centre for Resilient Social Currency
Is currency same as money? What is money? What is currency? These are some questions which we all answer in elementary school but never thought of  them again in our adulthood. This gave birth to this COE. We believe that multi-currency ecosystem, comprising of various social currencies, creates more resilient structure than a single currency ecosystem. We focus on basic and applied research on ideating and implementing a resilient social currency for local communities, thereby empowering them with a more resillient ecosystem.

    Centre for Behavioural Economics
Behavioural economics incorporates the study of psychology into the analysis of the decision-making behind an economic outcome. Our team works with other research centres supporting them in their application development and research.
